MEC Global is going to support this year.

 

September 11th MEC staff are organising a Bake Off. Entries are invited in the following categories:

1 Sponge cake             2 Savoury bake

3 No bake                      4 Fruit/veg cake

5 Fancy fairy cakes      6 Show-off cake!

7 Miscellaneous

£2 to enter a cake – and eat others too.

£3 to eat as much cake as you can!

Race Night!!

This is a family night and children are welcome, entrance is 50p per adult children are free.  You can choose a horse for £2 or sponsor a race for £25.00.  We are assured by the people who run this venture that it is a fun night and not a form of gambling, all money raised will go towards the treatments of our patients.  Doors open at 7.30pm and the racing starts at 8.00pm.

Oldham Cancer Support Centre would like to invite you to an evening with Musical Friends at the Home Guard in Manchester on Friday 21st February at 7.30. Tickets are £5 and can be bought from Oldham Cancer Support Centre or Home Guard (You can also pay on the door). As well as songs from the musicals there are also popular songs catering for all tastes.

This is a 2-week programme (to be held every two months throughout 2014) designed to help people with cancer when they are ready to return to work or back into the community.

To fund this project we have reached the final six of a competition organised by the Big Lottery and Granada TV: The People’s Millions.

Please watch Granada TV on Wednesday 27th November at 6.18(!)p.m. when we will be competing against a Liverpool group called ‘Action for Achievement’. The phone number for voting is not released until the day itself. The number will be published in The Daily Mirror and you can vote from 9.00 a.m. The number will also be given on the TV programme and you can vote until midnight.
